NAPWPD pays advocacy visit to the Kogi State Ministry of Works and Housing on the need for Accessible Buildings/Constructions and also to advocate for inclusion in the budget under the ongoing DRF/DRAF supported programme titled “Push For The Implementation Of Kogi State Disability Law Regarding Accessible Built Environment ”

The Hon Commissioner ministry of works who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry appreciate our visit and promise to do all within the power of the Ministry to ensure an accessible environment for persons with disabilities especially, in the area of building, road and transportation.

He further charge all the Directors in the Ministry to take the issue of accessibility beyond politics. He equally advise the leadership of NAPWPD and KOSODA to ensure continuous advocacy/sensitization to the critical stakeholders among which he mentioned KOGI STATE TOWN PLANNING BOARD.

He equally told us that, they have started the implementation of the Disability Law in Kogi State in some of the newly constructed academic environment institutions in Kogi State and promise to do more.

Thanks to NAPWPD DRF/DRAF supported advocacy in the State.
