Operations
We have a strong operational presence across Nigeria.
NAPWPD was formed and began operation over 20 years ago, but officially satisfied all requirements and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, in 2021 with Certificate No. 157873.
NAPWD is the most popular cluster of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) in Nigeria. It has a Board of Trustee membership structure of 12 persons, and an 18 member National Executive members.
NAPWPD pride itself as a veritable platform that has over the years engaged in lobbying and advocating for the wellbeing of persons with physical disabilities in Nigeria.
This includes areas of accessible environment, participation in socio-political environment, economic empowerment of its members, pursuit of social justice, and so many poverty amelioration interventions.
NAPWPD has its presence in all the 36 states of the Federation and chapters in the 774 Local Government Area.
Being a grassroot organization, NAPWPD has over the years set up a series of community structures/chapters, as a sustainability plan that puts the implementation of programs and activities squarely in the hands of community members at the grassroot.
These structures at the state and LGA level have sought and obtained several interventions for members, and we are making much impact.
